GPs 'Out of Hours'  (i.e. evenings, weekends, bank holidays)

  • phone your GP's usual surgery number - most have a pre-recorded message giving the number to phone if you need a doctor out of surgery hours
  • if you are not registered with a GP, or don't know your GP's number, phone NHS Direct (0845 46 47) who will be able to give you the 'out of hours doctor' contact details

  

Not registered with a GP? - phone your local PCT (Primary Care Trust) who can allocate a local GP for you to register with
